Titanium Gr 11 Pipes are made of unalloyed titanium and a small amount of palladium (0.12%–0.25%), which greatly improves corrosion resistance, particularly in environments that are highly oxidising and mildly reducing. 0.2% palladium and 99.5% titanium make up the usual composition. These pipes have a yield strength of about 240 MPa, a tensile strength of about 350–450 MPa, and exceptional ductility with elongation of more than 20%. They also have outstanding impact resistance and weldability. Although Grade 11 titanium is mechanically and chemically comparable to Grade 2, its palladium content gives it superior corrosion resistance, which makes it perfect for aggressive media.
