Commercially pure titanium (Grade 2) or titanium alloys (such as Grade 5-Ti-6Al-4V) are the main materials used in the production of titanium coil tubing. Depending on the grade, it may contain up to 99% titanium along with trace amounts of oxygen, nitrogen, iron, aluminium, and vanadium. Tensile strength in Grade 2 is approximately 344 MPa, whereas Grade 5 can reach up to 895 MPa.
