Tantalum pipes are made up mostly of ≥99.9% pure tantalum, and trace constituents like oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen, and iron are strictly controlled. Tantalum is known for its superior corrosion resistance, particularly against highly corrosive acids like hydrochloric and sulfuric acid. It has a tensile strength of about 200–800 MPa, yield strength of around 140 MPa, and elongation of more than 30%, depending on processing. Tantalum also maintains structural stability up to 300°C and has excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, making it ideal for high-performance industrial environments.
