Stainless Steel 347/347H has 17–20% chromium and 9–13% nickel along with columbium (niobium) stabilization to avoid intergranular corrosion following welding. 347H has a greater amount of carbon (0.04–0.10%) added for additional strength at elevated temperatures. The alloys provide a tensile strength of 515–750 MPa and a yield strength of 205–275 MPa. The Seamless form has uniform strength throughout the length, high pressure resistance, and superior performance under high-stress and high-temperature conditions. It is weldable, formable, and resistant to oxidation, suitable for seamless tubing employed in precision systems.
