Premium-grade Stainless Steel 321 and 321H ERW Pipes are manufactured and supplied by Vipul Pipes and Tubes, a reputable brand in stainless steel piping solutions with headquarters in Chennai, India. Electric Resistance Welding (ERW) technology is used in the engineering of these pipes to ensure dimensional accuracy, consistent strength, and precise weld seams. While 321H offers a higher carbon content for improved high-temperature strength, SS 321 is stabilized with titanium for resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. Our 321/321H ERW pipes are perfect for thermal processing, chemical handling, and power generation firms that demand exceptional durability and long-lasting performance because they are made to withstand harsh conditions.
Stainless Steel 321 and 321H ERW Pipes are austenitic stainless steels stabilized with titanium. They are composed of titanium (at least five times the carbon content), nickel (9–12%), and chromium (17–19%). For better creep and high-temperature strength, SS 321H contains more carbon (0.04–0.10%). Excellent resistance to oxidation and intergranular corrosion is provided by both grades. Mechanical characteristics include good elongation (40%) and a yield strength of 205 MPa and a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa. These pipes are appropriate for pressure and structural applications in high-temperature settings because the ERW process produces clean, consistent welds.

Applications requiring exceptional resistance to heat and oxidation, particularly in situations where post-weld annealing is impractical, frequently use stainless steel 321 and 321H ERW pipes. Aerospace, chemical processing, power generation, and petroleum refining are examples of common industries. Heat exchangers, furnace components, exhaust manifolds, pressure vessels, and high-temperature ducting systems all use these pipes. For welded equipment subjected to temperatures as high as 900°C, SS 321 is the recommended material, whereas 321H is best suited for prolonged exposure to high temperatures. They are appropriate for demanding settings needing long-term durability and mechanical dependability because of their stability, strength, and resistance to corrosion.
