Stainless Steel 321 and 321H ERW Pipes are austenitic stainless steels stabilized with titanium. Their main constituents are titanium (≥5x C content), nickel (9–12%), and chromium (17–19%). Compared to SS 321, SS 321H has a higher carbon content (0.04–0.10%), which improves its resistance to creep and stress rupture at higher temperatures. These pipes normally have an elongation of 40%, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 515 MPa. For applications needing mechanical strength as well as resistance to oxidation and intergranular corrosion following welding, the ERW process provides a uniform thickness and smooth finish.

Industries that need materials that can tolerate high temperatures and frequent thermal cycling frequently use stainless steel 321 and 321H ERW pipes.
