Other constituents are Carbon (≤ 0.08%), Manganese (≤ 2.00%), Silicon (≤ 1.00%), Phosphorus (≤ 0.045%), and Sulfur (≤ 0.03%). These pipes have tensile strength ≥ 515 MPa, yield strength ≥ 205 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Electropolishing improves further surface smoothness, corrosion resistance, and cleanliness, thereby making them applicable in high-purity and corrosive conditions.
