Because SS 310S contains less carbon (≤0.08%) than SS 310 (≤0.25%), it is better suited for welding applications. These pipes have a yield strength of about 205 MPa and a tensile strength of about 520 MPa. Strong weld integrity and uniform thickness over wide diameters are guaranteed by the EFW process. Both grades are perfect for heat-intensive environments because they retain their mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion even when used continuously up to 1100°C.
