Stainless Steel 304L Pipes are low-carbon versions of 304, which contain mainly Chromium (18–20%), Nickel (8–12%), and have a maximum of 0.03% Carbon. The other constituents are Manganese, Silicon, and Phosphorus in traces. These pipes have very good mechanical properties like tensile strength of 485 MPa (min), yield strength of 170 MPa (min), and elongation of 35% (min). They provide excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion and attack after welding and so are best suited for those environments demanding strength, cleanliness, and corrosion resistance without post-weld heat treatment.
