High-performance Nickel Alloy 201 Tubing is available from Vipul Pipes and Tubes, a reputable manufacturer and supplier in Chennai, India, for applications needing exceptional corrosion resistance and high thermal conductivity. In order to avoid embrittlement and graphitization in high-temperature applications, Nickel 201 is a low-carbon variant of Nickel 200. Nickel 201 tubing is widely used in the chemical processing, electronics, and aerospace industries due to its exceptional mechanical qualities, resistance to caustic alkalis, and purity. To guarantee dimensional accuracy, smooth internal surfaces, and durability in high-stress, high-temperature, or corrosive operating environments, our tubing is manufactured with precision.
Nickel Alloy 201 Tubing differs from Nickel 200 in that it contains ≥99.6% pure nickel and ≤0.02% carbon. At higher temperatures, this low carbon content improves resistance to graphitization. Nickel 201 has outstanding ductility and toughness, with a tensile strength of about 403 MPa and a yield strength of about 103 MPa. It has exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, and dry gases and retains its structural integrity at temperatures as high as 600°C. It is particularly well suited for electronic and high-temperature process environments due to its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.

Alloy 201 of nickel In the chemical and petrochemical industries, tubing is frequently used to handle aggressive media such as sulfuric acid and caustic alkalis. Because of its low gas content and resistance to contamination, it is also crucial in high-purity systems used in electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food processing. It is utilized for instrumentation lines, heat exchangers, and thermocouple sheaths in power plants and aircraft. The tubing is perfect for fabricated components exposed to corrosive environments and high temperatures because of its exceptional formability and resistance to intergranular corrosion. The industries that produce salt, synthetic fiber, and marine products also use nickel 201.
