The Monel Welded Tubing is mainly made up of Nickel (63–70%) and Copper (20–29%), with trace amounts of Iron, Manganese, and Silicon. These tubes possess very good mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of approximately 550–620 MPa and yield strength of 240–345 MPa. They are ductile, with elongation up to 35%, and have strength in a broad range of temperatures. Natural corrosion resistance of Monel against seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and alkalis, which is inherent in these welded tubes, qualifies them for use in hostile and corrosive environments without compromise on weldability and strength.
