Monel Pipes consist mainly of nickel (around 63%) and copper (around 28–34%), along with trace amounts of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. The combination provides very good corrosion resistance, especially in seawater and chemical atmospheres. Monel Pipes are mechanically strong, with high tensile strength (up to 80–100 ksi), yield strength (35–60 ksi), and excellent elongation and impact toughness.
