Monel 400 Tubing is made up of about 63% Nickel and 29–34% Copper, along with traces of Iron, Manganese, Carbon, and Silicon. It has a tensile strength of 550–620 MPa and yield strength of 170–345 MPa, and it is highly ductile and tough even at sub-zero temperatures. Monel 400 has great corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater, hydrofluoric acid, and alkali. It is mechanically stable over a broad temperature range and possesses good thermal and electric conductance, and thus it is a good choice for heavy-duty and corrosive-service tubing applications.
