Low carbon content (typically ≤0.25%) is used as the main constituent of Mild Steel SAW Pipes, to which Manganese (0.30–0.60%), Sulfur, Phosphorus, and trace elements are added to improve workability and weldability. The tensile strength of these pipes is generally between 330 and 530 MPa and yield strength of about 240 MPa. Their mechanical properties show excellent ductility, impact resistance, and fabricating ease.
