HFS Tubing is mostly made of carbon steel or low alloy steel, using grades such as ASTM A106, A53, or EN 10210. The chemical content is mostly carbon (up to 0.30%), manganese (0.29–1.06%), and minute amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. Mechanically, they have high tensile strength (up to 600 MPa), yield strength (up to 355 MPa), and good elongation (20–30%). Hot finishing enhances grain structure, ductility, and uniformity, for which HFS Tubes are well suited for high-pressure and high-temperature conditions in challenging environments.
