The tubing has tensile strength of 690–800 MPa, yield strength of 280–355 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%. Hastelloy is resistant to oxidation, pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, even under acidic, chlorinated, and high-temperature conditions, for which it is best suited for aggressive chemical service applications.
