Depending on condition and form, mechanical properties include a tensile strength of roughly 690–785 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 283–355 MPa. C22 pipes are appropriate for highly corrosive and high-temperature operations in a range of chemical and industrial processes because they retain structural stability at temperatures as high as 1250°F (677°C).
