Duplex Steel S31803 Tubing has an approximately 22% chromium, 5–6.5% nickel, 3–3.5% molybdenum, 1–2% manganese, and iron (balance) with nitrogen added for enhanced strength. It has superior mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 620–880 MPa, yield strength of approximately 450 MPa, and elongation of minimum 25%. S31803 provides high resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, as well as superior fatigue strength over its austenitic stainless steel counterparts.
