The dual-phase microstructure outperforms conventional austenitic grades in terms of resistance to chloride-induced corrosion, including pitting and stress corrosion cracking. With a typical hardness of about 250 HV, duplex 2205 pipes provide good dimensional stability and weldability, making them appropriate for high-temperature and high-pressure applications.
