Duplex Steel Mechanical Tubing has Chromium (22–25%), Nickel (4.5–6.5%), Molybdenum (3–4%), and traces of Nitrogen, Manganese, and Iron. Its dual-phase form (austenite and ferrite) has high yield strength (≥450 MPa) and tensile strength (≥620 MPa) as well as enhanced resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and fatigue. The tubing also shows good weldability and formability. Its mechanical strength, along with corrosion resistance in chloride-bearing atmospheres, makes it best suited for use where durability is needed in high chemical and mechanical stress situations.
