Copper Nickel Tubing is generally made of copper (70–90%) and nickel (10–30%), with minor additions of manganese and iron to enhance strength and corrosion resistance. Formability is excellent and strength is moderate in the 90/10 alloy, while strength is greater and seawater corrosion resistance is better in the 70/30 alloy. Tensile strength of 275–370 MPa, yield strength of 100–150 MPa, and elongation of 30–40%, depending on the temper and alloy. The tubing possesses high thermal stability, pressure strength, and weldability, which makes it ideal for high-performance heat exchange and fluid transfer applications.
