Copper Nickel Pipes mainly include copper (70–90%) and nickel (10–30%) along with minor additions of iron and manganese for increased strength and resistance to corrosion. The 90/10 form normally has tensile strength in the range of 310–360 MPa and yield strength approximately 130 MPa, with elongation in excess of 30%. The 70/30 form has greater strength, with tensile strength to as much as 500 MPa. These pipes have great thermal conductivity, good ductility, and biofouling resistance, which makes them find use in marine and heat exchanger applications.
