Copper Nickel Mechanical Tubing is usually made of 90% copper and 10% nickel (Cu-Ni 90/10) or 70% copper and 30% nickel (Cu-Ni 70/30) and a trace of iron and manganese to enhance strength and corrosion resistance. These tubes have a tensile strength of approximately 310–500 MPa, and a yield strength of 100–200 MPa, varying with the alloy and condition. They also possess outstanding elongation (30–40%), good thermal conductivity, and better stress corrosion cracking resistance, thus being best suited for mechanical and marine use.
