Copper Nickel 90/10 Pipes contain 90% copper and 10% nickel with minor contents of iron (1.4%) and manganese to improve corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The pipes display great resistance against erosion, pitting, and biofouling in marine environments. Properties of the mechanical type include tensile strength of 275–350 MPa, yield strength of around 70–150 MPa, and elongation of about 30–40%. The alloy exhibits good weldability and workability and is well fit for both pressure and structural uses. It also exhibits very high thermal conductivity and is well suited for heat transfer systems in marine and industrial environments.
