Carbon Steel Welded Pipes are manufactured using steel plates or coils with carbon (up to 0.25%), manganese, and traces of silicon, sulfur, and phosphorus. The pipes have tensile strength of 330–570 MPa and yield strength of 210–350 MPa, depending on the grade. They have good weldability, machinability, and corrosion resistance for mild exposures. While less potent than seamless pipes under heightened pressure, welded pipes are very effective for overall use. Their even wall thickness and smooth surface qualify them for forming, bending, and welding processes.
