Carbon Steel ERW Pipes are generally produced from grades such as ASTM A53, A252, or IS 1239, with chemical composition consisting of carbon (max 0.25%), manganese (0.30–1.20%), phosphorus (max 0.05%), and sulfur (max 0.045%). The pipes have tensile strength of 330–530 MPa and yield strength of 195–280 MPa based on grade and thickness. ERW pipes possess good ductility, formability, weldability, and surface finish and thus are suitable for structural purposes and fluid conveyance.
