The general composition consists of carbon (0.18–0.27%), manganese (0.55–0.98%), phosphorus (up to 0.035%), sulfur (up to 0.035%), and silicon (0.13–0.45%). These pipes provide a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 240 MPa, as well as good notch toughness and superior weldability.
