Aluminium 1100 Tubing consists of at least 99% pure aluminum along with a minute amount of trace elements like copper (0.05–0.20%), iron (≤0.95%), and silicon (≤0.95%). Aluminium 1100 Tubing is highly corrosion resistant, possess good formability, and possesses high thermal and electrical conductivity. The tensile strength and yield strength of the tubing are around 90 MPa and 34 MPa, respectively, and elongation to around 35%. Though not heat-treatable, it can be sensitized to cold working for added strength. Its low weight and non-magnetic character make it applicable for sensitive and non-load-bearing structural purposes.
