Aluminium 1060 Tubing has a minimum of 99.6% pure aluminium content, and it is one of the most chemically pure aluminum grades available. It has minor amounts of elements such as iron and silicon. The alloy possesses extremely high electrical and thermal conductivity, superior corrosion resistance, and very high formability. The typical tensile strength of the alloy is in the range of approximately 60–105 MPa and provides excellent elongation, which facilitates it to be bent or welded with ease. While not being heat-treatable, it is usable for cold working. Its soft temper and lightness ensure that it is suitable for applications that require high conductivity and flexibility.
