Monel Boiler Tubing contains Nickel (63–70%), Copper (20–29%), and minor amounts of Iron, Manganese, and other trace elements. The tubing has very good mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 550–620 MPa and yield strength of 240–345 MPa. The tubing has very good corrosion resistance in acidic and alkaline mediums, good thermal conductivity, and high resistance to stress-corrosion cracking and pitting. Monel maintains its strength at a broad range of temperatures, which qualifies it for use in boiler equipment with alternating thermal loads and corrosive media.
