Stainless Steel 347/347H welded tubing has 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and is columbium (niobium) stabilized to avoid precipitation of carbides during welding. 347H has increased carbon content (0.04–0.10%) for enhanced strength at high temperatures. These alloys provide tensile strength of 515–750 MPa and yield strength of approximately 205–275 MPa. They are good at withstanding thermal stress, have superior oxidation and creep resistance up to 870°C, and possess weldability and formability. The welded tube is strong, corrosion-proof, and can be used for forming, bending, and fabrication in extreme working environments.
