Because SS 310S has less carbon (≤0.08%) than SS 310 (≤0.25%), it is more resistant to sensitization after welding. These grades have outstanding elongation and toughness at high temperatures, with a tensile strength of roughly 520 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 205 MPa.
