16Mo3 pipes are alloy steel grades based on carbon (0.12–0.20%), molybdenum (0.25–0.35%), manganese (0.40–0.90%), phosphorus (≤0.025%), sulfur (≤0.010%), and silicon (≤0.35%). They possess good high-temperature resistance and weldability. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of 440–590 MPa, yield strength ≥220 MPa, and elongation of ≥22%. 16Mo3 also contains good creep strength, oxidation strength, and thermal stability, making it fit for use in environments exposed to high temperatures and high-pressure conditions.
